One of my content partners and good friend; Cameron Bates, asked me if I could help him put the Total Indonesia Foundation website together for one of his clients. Cam explained that the client was a division of Total that focused on…well, here’s how Cameron describes it:

The Total Indonesia Foundation, also known as Yayasan Total Indonesie, was established to answer and to realise Total E&P Indonesie’s commitment to the restoration, preservation, promotion, support and development of Indonesia’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Thanks Cam.

The ‘TIF’ website delivery project was completely engrossing and endlessly interesting. It really opened my eyes to Indonesian culture and arts and crafts that are fast being forgotten by much of the younger generation of Indonesians.

As part of the project, Cameron was fortunate enough to visit hard to reach areas of Kalimantan, visiting with local crafts people and documenting their fascinating day to day working lives.

A huge amount of content was brought back, most of which is still being processed. It’s going to be interesting to continue helping to evolve the website over time.
